Cheers to the Speaker 2 (0:44) newlyweds. Speaker 3 (0:45) Yes, to the newlyweds. Speaker 2 (0:47) I Speaker 3 (0:48) live. Oh, my gosh. I feel like I'm in Mexico. Speaker 2 (0:53) I Speaker 3 (0:54) need one of those. Oh, oh, Karina Garcia. Hey, y'all. Okay, my turn. Y Speaker 4 (1:00) 'all, I feel like we are in San Miguel Leyende right Speaker 3 (1:05) now. What is going on? Speaker 4 (1:07) The wedding's gonna happen in five minutes. Speaker 3 (1:09) Ceremony starts in five, y'all. Everybody, everybody ready? Welcome back to Chins and Giggles. How y'all doing? I can't believe Speaker 1 (1:18) this, y'all. You Speaker 3 (1:19) guys are not gonna believe who's here. It's all on them. Welcome to the podcast, to the newlyweds, Luis and Marisol. Speaker 2 (1:29) well take Speaker 3 (1:29) me on that newly Speaker 2 (1:30) well but Speaker 3 (1:31) renewly wet Speaker 2 (1:33) we Speaker 3 (1:34) didn't hear the whole lore today last week when we came back from mexico everybody was like why are they not on the podcast i know i Speaker 2 (1:41) just want y'all we got back like on a monday filmed on tuesday baby okay we were all tired Speaker 3 (1:46) we are dressed to the nines today baby we literally put our wedding outfits back on like actually My dress was covered in alcohol and perfume and like everything. And it's covered in alcohol again today. I know. Mine's Speaker 4 (2:01) full of glitter and like makeup Speaker 2 (2:03) things. Speaker 3 (2:03) This was Reese's idea. Yeah, this was Reese's idea. But it is so iconic that you guys actually did this. Like, I love it. And like, I feel like with weddings, you only wear the outfit once. Yeah. We get to wear it again. Speaker 4 (2:15) I know. And then when we got here, Marisol was saying like when she pulled out the, because her dress was still in the luggage. Speaker 2 (2:20) Yeah, it was. I had not opened the luggage since. I Speaker 3 (2:22) love it. So I opened it and I Speaker 2 (2:24) got in. I'm like, it smells like the wedding. Aww. Speaker 3 (2:28) Do you have Speaker 2 (2:28) like a perfume Speaker 3 (2:29) that you got Speaker 2 (2:29) specifically? Yeah, we actually brought it for the same reason. And you know Speaker 4 (2:32) what? That's something that we've, at least me, like they always ask me, like, Luis, how would you incorporate something that we will remember for the rest of our lives? And I always tell them like, get yourself un clone o un perfume nuevo and then just wear it for your wedding day. And don't wear it again. and only wear it for like your anniversary or like holidays and when you smell it it takes you back to that or the podcast Speaker 3 (2:56) that's so real and you know what and Speaker 4 (2:58) i've seen people like do that do that um give that advice on tiktok and i'm like well i've been doing this for 12 years you know but even from our first wedding 10 years ago we did it and well i lost mine If I buy it again and I smell it, I remember which one it was. Did you also Speaker 3 (3:17) get your own cologne? Did you get a cologne for the wedding too? Speaker 4 (3:19) Yeah, we brought them. Speaker 1 (3:20) Okay, we're going to need all Speaker 2 (3:21) the Speaker 3 (3:21) details, baby. All the details. Because the minute I smelled Marisol's, I was like, I'm back to Mexico. So Speaker 2 (3:27) me Speaker 4 (3:27) and Marisol, we're huge on. We're huge. I love cologne. It's Speaker 2 (3:32) my Speaker 4 (3:32) crack. Like, I could... You guys love cologne. I don't mind. We could be at Speaker 2 (3:38) Bloomington and... North Shore, I mean, we can smell fragrances all day. That is so iconic. I did not know Speaker 3 (3:44) that about you guys. Speaker 4 (3:45) Well, the day that we Speaker 2 (3:47) bought them. We literally stopped for hours finding the perfect scent. Speaker 4 (3:51) And Speaker 2 (3:51) we bought them. I went back the next day and changed them. And Speaker 4 (3:54) we Speaker 2 (3:54) changed them. Speaker 4 (3:55) You guys Speaker 3 (3:55) are bougie. I'm like, it is not Speaker 2 (3:57) it. And I went back the next day. Oh, you did? I will say Speaker 3 (4:01) this. Luis Speaker 4 (4:02) and Marisol are a bougie couple. Speaker 3 (4:04) Y'all are bougie. Speaker 4 (4:06) The house down, dudes. You know what? I feel like it comes with time, right? Because, like, back in the day, I had no idea about scents. Like, perfumes bonitos or, like, buenos. I've learned it with my clients because I do have a lot of bougie clients. And I've always noticed, like, when you meet somebody, the way they smell, it's your first impression of them. Speaker 3 (4:26) Oh, my God. So, to me, Speaker 4 (4:28) it's so important to when I go to my meetings or when I'm at a wedding with a client for me to smell good. Speaker 3 (4:33) You guys smell really good. And Speaker 4 (4:35) I've learned to find, like, brands that, like, that you don't find like a nostril more like just i mean you could find them right but to me right now my favorite brand for at least for a guy is creed it's really it's well and then this one in particular i i and i bought it just because of the color because it went with our theme girl Speaker 3 (4:54) you gotta link it on your stories i haven't i'm like is it on amazon i don't know it's Speaker 4 (5:02) not Speaker 3 (5:02) so good Speaker 2 (5:07) okay y'all let's show her off it's Speaker 3 (5:09) all Speaker 2 (5:09) sponsored Speaker 3 (5:09) like my oh my Speaker 4 (5:12) god Speaker 3 (5:12) this smells like the wedding You Speaker 4 (5:15) know you're Speaker 2 (5:17) gonna Speaker 4 (5:17) buy like your husband's I mean role Brian in the gold one will be in money What's Speaker 3 (5:21) that one that everybody wore in high school? Speaker 4 (5:24) I Speaker 3 (5:24) have those two I think I always I saw that body spray But Speaker 4 (5:31) it's super for me and bonito and and everywhere when I wear them well you will always get complimented And Speaker 3 (5:39) now Speaker 4 (5:40) the reason why I brought it to Is because we're gonna start crying. Speaker 3 (5:44) Because everyone's getting one today. No. Speaker 2 (5:49) Have you seen like those crazy weddings where their party favors are the groom and the bride's signature set at Speaker 3 (5:57) night? Speaker 2 (5:58) That's what was left. Speaker 4 (5:59) That was the only thing missing. No, like everybody goes Speaker 2 (6:02) home like with the fragrance. Like full ties and everything. And I'm like. Well, cheers to that, ladies. Speaker 4 (6:09) Okay, so the day after the wedding, I thought about like the most random thing, right? Because like apart that I'm, I think about all the details. Yes. I feel like I, I, como explicarlo? I quiero que siempre haga un recuerdo de algo, right? Like I always want it to be a memory. So I told Marisol, like, I'm going to save the clone. Or chubs. No! And I randomly found this paper in our suite. And I wrote him a letter. Speaker 3 (6:44) So he could wear it the Speaker 4 (6:46) day of his wedding. So I'm going to save him the clone. Speaker 3 (6:49) I'm being serious. I even traced Speaker 4 (6:51) my ring and I put my fingerprint. Speaker 3 (6:53) And it's Speaker 4 (6:54) funny because I wrote it for a kid. Because when I read it, I'm like, oh, it's like. I wrote it like if it was for a kid. Like if it was Speaker 2 (7:00) for him to read right now. Right Speaker 4 (7:01) now, but he's, hopefully one day when he does see it, he's not going to be a kid anymore. But I wrote it like if it was for a kid and I didn't realize that until now. Speaker 3 (7:09) My heart. And Speaker 4 (7:10) it says that if we keep it like under like room temperature, it should be fine in 20, 30 years, whatever. I don't know if you guys want to read it. Oh, Speaker 3 (7:18) I was going to say, is it too much if we, oh. Wait, Speaker 2 (7:21) you Speaker 3 (7:21) don't Speaker 2 (7:21) want Speaker 3 (7:21) to read it? Speaker 2 (7:22) No, I'm Speaker 4 (7:23) going to cry. I feel like it would be more special. I know. And if you read it, it's like literally for a kid. The Speaker 3 (7:27) fact that it has the ring. Speaker 2 (7:29) Okay, maybe. Do you want to do the honors? All right. Okay, I Speaker 3 (7:33) can Speaker 2 (7:33) do it. Oh, Speaker 3 (7:34) this is so cute. For my son, Luisito. Sounds Speaker 2 (7:40) great. My Speaker 3 (7:40) baby boy, I love you so much. I'm saving this for you. One day when you marry the love of your life, please use it. I used it the day I married mommy for the second time in San Miguel Allende. I love you so much. Please don't ever forget me. Speaker 2 (7:56) Oh, I can't. Love, dad. I Speaker 3 (7:59) don't know why I wrote Speaker 4 (8:00) it like if I was going to be dead. Speaker 3 (8:01) Please. Like, Speaker 4 (8:03) no. No. No. We're all there. Tell me why when I was writing, I was like, I'm going to be dead. But now they know. Like, hopefully not. You're literally 30. No, Speaker 1 (8:14) I Speaker 4 (8:14) know. But you never know. Yeah, you never know. Life is so short sometimes. You Speaker 3 (8:18) guys got married Speaker 4 (8:18) for the second time and both Speaker 3 (8:19) parents Speaker 2 (8:20) were still there in Speaker 3 (8:21) Jesus' name. So, y'all are going to be there again. And then it says, love dad, September 6, 2026. And then he put, yeah, the ring. And I wrote on Speaker 4 (8:31) my thumb, my fingerprint. Fingerprint. Speaker 3 (8:36) Oh, my God. Stop. Just in case. This Speaker 4 (8:38) is Speaker 3 (8:38) so insanely thoughtful. This is actually the most thoughtful thing ever. I think you just started a new tradition. I literally think. No, yeah. Handing down your wedding perfume to your kid. Do you know how iconic that's going to be in 20 years? That's like a vintage artifact. All right. Speaker 1 (8:54) What is it? That Speaker 3 (8:56) is Speaker 1 (8:56) an antique. You know Speaker 4 (8:56) what? Everything we do, like, even now, like, we travel, and I always tell somebody, like, like, I just. I just want to make sure my kids have like memories. Wow. Like core memories. You guys Speaker 3 (9:07) do travel, huh? You guys love traveling. We haven't done it as much. Speaker 4 (9:11) The fact that Speaker 3 (9:12) y'all went to Japan. Have you heard that one sound? The one that's like, bitch, why would I argue with you? I've been to Japan. I touch yen. Arigato. Have you seen that sound? I haven't seen Speaker 2 (9:22) it. It's Speaker 3 (9:22) hilarious. Speaker 4 (9:23) You Speaker 2 (9:23) guys Speaker 4 (9:24) need to use that sound. But everything we do, like everything we try to make it an experience for them for sure. Speaker 2 (9:29) Yeah. Speaker 3 (9:30) i want to know where that perfume is from girl because it smells oh my god yeah let's go back to the perfume marisol we want to know what you wore a few too they both take me back when i smelled this too i was like wait it takes me back too yes yes Speaker 2 (9:43) so i got the uh girl on um i think it's pronounced vanilla uh planifolia she smells so good i think that's how you i don't know but um Speaker 3 (9:54) Oh Speaker 2 (9:55) my Speaker 3 (9:55) god, the bottle too is so Speaker 4 (9:56) iconic. Speaker 3 (9:57) I needed it for her. And she came Speaker 2 (9:58) with like an extra lid that I could customize and it's like, it's pink. But I'm like, I'll keep my gold for the wedding pictures. It smells so Speaker 3 (10:05) good. Speaker 2 (10:06) It's like the perfect vanilla. It Speaker 3 (10:07) smells, Speaker 2 (10:07) it Speaker 3 (10:07) is. I knew it has like vanilla, um, I was gonna say extract, bitch, what? No, it's like the perfect vanilla. Not the vanilla extract. It smells so good. It's like, it's so, ah, it breaks it like right away. Speaker 2 (10:19) No! It's like so sexy and sophisticated, like. I don't know. Bitch, I was going to say, don't Speaker 4 (10:25) spray it now. No, no. First Speaker 2 (10:27) special moment. Y Speaker 4 (10:28) él había comprado uno, right? I Speaker 2 (10:30) had bought two already. And then we Speaker 4 (10:32) went back to the mall for whatever reason. And then we came back and she Speaker 2 (10:37) was Speaker 4 (10:37) like, they have the store. So Speaker 2 (10:39) this specific fragrance, they don't sell it everywhere. Oh, you're going to be shook, girl. Speaker 3 (10:45) I have to do it because I'm nosy. They only Speaker 2 (10:49) sell it like at their actual store. And South Coast Plaza happened to have like an actual physical store. So I'm like, I had already bought two. And then I told Luis, I'm like, oh my God, they do have the store. And he's like, just go smell it. Like get out of the way. And I smelled it and I'm like, I have to take it. It Speaker 3 (11:07) smells so good. Beautiful. Wait, holy shit. You're Speaker 2 (11:12) like, wait, is this right? Is this the 1 Speaker 3 (11:15) .6 ounce or is this bigger? Speaker 2 (11:18) No, it's a little bit bigger. Oh my God. Speaker 3 (11:21) Well, the smallest size is $600, $700. You're kidding. And this looks like the full size. Okay, Speaker 2 (11:27) be careful with it, girl. The tester is $700. That's actually insane. You guys are actually the most bougie people I know. Like actually, I feel like you Speaker 3 (11:37) have to have that like touch in you or like you have to have that like, you know, like... You Speaker 4 (11:43) guys are bougie people, right? I've... Wow. I don't know what it is, right? But I strongly believe, like... Speaker 4 (11:53) dress and be who you want to be. I Speaker 3 (11:55) know that's right. Speaker 4 (11:56) So si quieres. Do you really want to? I think so. So like, if you want to show up to a room and feel important, smell and dress important. I've always thought about it like that. Speaker 3 (12:09) No, that's true. I Speaker 4 (12:10) live for Speaker 3 (12:10) her. Speaker 4 (12:10) But I don't know. Speaker 3 (12:11) Like dead ass, you are the best person ever. Speaker 2 (12:13) Even Speaker 3 (12:13) when we were in Speaker 2 (12:14) the Speaker 3 (12:14) mobile Speaker 4 (12:14) home, like siempre me compraba mis perfumes. I'm honored. I always did. Speaker 3 (12:17) Marisol always Speaker 4 (12:18) smells amazing. She does always smell Speaker 3 (12:19) good. I Speaker 2 (12:19) love. I if you guys both have my TikTok, it's it's TikTok perfume. I Speaker 3 (12:26) live iconic. Speaker 2 (12:27) My whole thing. Like I have a list of everything that I want. Speaker 3 (12:30) I am so bad with perfume because like I'll just have like a couple of them and wear them every single day. Do you have specific occasions for each Speaker 2 (12:37) perfume? Speaker 3 (12:37) I Speaker 2 (12:38) have my summer. I have my fall. I have my day. I have my night. OK. I know that's right. And Speaker 3 (12:44) I Speaker 2 (12:44) have the ones that I mix. OK. You have Speaker 3 (12:47) like your specific ones. You're like, I'm going to Vegas. This is my Vegas perfume. I Speaker 2 (12:50) feel like Vegas, I will either do Gentle Fluidity. Speaker 3 (12:56) Wow. Speaker 2 (12:57) By MFK. Speaker 3 (13:00) Okay. Or Speaker 2 (13:01) I feel like a scent for like a sexy night out. Speaker 3 (13:08) I know that's right. Is that one of your top faves? I feel like it would be Gentle Speaker 2 (13:12) Fluidity or Baccarat. The red one mixed with Tom Ford cherry. Oh, that. You got me. You Speaker 3 (13:20) got Speaker 2 (13:20) me on Speaker 3 (13:21) Tom Ford cherry. Speaker 2 (13:22) Lost cherry. The lost cherry. You got me on her. That's the only one I have. All right. If you like that one, you're going to love electric cherry. Oh, Speaker 3 (13:30) Lord. It's like I am so impressed. Speaker 2 (13:32) It's like her. It's like the date time. version of it. I know that's right. Y'all Speaker 3 (13:37) would hate to see me coming with the Bath and Body Works fucking body space. Cherry Blossom. Cherry Blossom to be exact. No, I'm so impressed how you like know the names and you have like your Vegas perfume. I want to be you baby. That is so iconic. Yeah, because when you speak to someone that knows about perfumes, I'm like, okay, give me the one I need. What's that one essential every girl needs? Like goes because I know you know your perfumes girl pink Speaker 2 (14:04) one, huh? The pink Delina I Speaker 3 (14:07) need the night Speaker 2 (14:07) Alina exclusive. Okay, they have different versions. They have the the regular they have the exclusive and then they have Della Rose which is like their daytime everyone Speaker 3 (14:17) talks about that one. What's the note? Is it like it's me? It's Speaker 2 (14:21) it's wait if you like sweet, I would say go for the exclusive I Speaker 3 (14:25) know I love a sweet scent. I Speaker 2 (14:27) feel like it's so the regular one is more on the fruitier side It's sweet, but more on the fruitier side, the exclusive, I would say it gives more of a vanilla touch. Okay. So it's more like a sexy date night. I live Speaker 3 (14:42) for her. Speaker 2 (14:43) But I wear it all day. I need Speaker 3 (14:44) to get on that one. Everyone else got one. She recommended it. That one's like really good, too. Lost Cherry goes crazy. Speaker 2 (14:49) I love that. Well, Speaker 3 (14:50) my favorite perfume is on Amazon. So, like, that just shows you how much I know. I'm a TikTok shop, actually, queen. So, just so y'all Speaker 1 (14:58) know what I've been wearing. The one Speaker 3 (14:59) that smells like cotton candy or something? Yeah. Speaker 4 (15:02) She's a Speaker 3 (15:02) queen, too. No, pero sabes que? Hay Speaker 4 (15:04) perfumes de mujeres that have the cotton candy scent y huelen bonito. Oh, it's Speaker 3 (15:08) a Speaker 4 (15:08) strawberry, actually. I Speaker 3 (15:09) feel like those cotton Speaker 4 (15:10) candy perfumes are Speaker 3 (15:11) the Speaker 4 (15:11) replicas of Baccarat. I know that's Speaker 3 (15:14) right. She's a blueprint. Speaker 4 (15:16) It's not like the Grande Cloud. Speaker 2 (15:19) It's a copy of Baccarat. Speaker 4 (15:21) That's crazy. We need Speaker 2 (15:24) to start going Speaker 3 (15:25) for the fucking blueprint. Speaker 4 (15:27) Oh, that Speaker 2 (15:30) one's really good. That one also has notes. It gives me very Baccarat. She did her big one with that. Yeah, it smells Speaker 4 (15:36) really good. Are you a Speaker 2 (15:39) sweets Speaker 3 (15:40) girlie? Because you know there's like... There's two different kinds of women. The one that loves smelling sweet and then the one that smells more like almost like a señorada. There's two different kinds of girls. A señorada? That's crazy. But there's two. Speaker 2 (15:52) She's like, Speaker 3 (15:53) do you want to smell sweet or like an old hag? No, because I'm getting like, it smells like sweet and sophisticated. I feel like I'm Speaker 2 (16:02) more on the sweet side. Right? But it has to be like a certain sweet. I Speaker 3 (16:06) love it. Yeah, because some will like make your head hurt of how sweet they are. Yes. Will you do the honors? And I feel Speaker 2 (16:12) like there's different. Somebody's got to pop her open. Like sweet? Uh-huh. I feel like there's like your sexy, sophisticated. Speaker 4 (16:22) Champagne. I love her. Because Speaker 3 (16:23) I Speaker 4 (16:23) feel like Speaker 2 (16:23) that one has like a sweet Speaker 3 (16:24) but sophisticated. Oh, my God. What's going on here? Oh, Speaker 2 (16:27) shit. Speaker 3 (16:27) I didn't know that was going to happen, y'all. I mean, that is champagne, baby girl. From Walmart. It's nice and warm, champagne. Speaker 4 (16:34) Does Speaker 3 (16:35) Luis have like a big perfume collection? No. You know what? He Speaker 2 (16:40) does, but he goes through them. I Speaker 4 (16:43) go through them fast. Like, Speaker 2 (16:44) honestly, he's the type of person que he's like. Luis will spray himself like a million times. So Speaker 3 (16:50) he Speaker 2 (16:50) goes through them like. Speaker 4 (16:51) No, it's like during the events that you're sweating. So like, te lo echas y. Speaker 3 (16:55) Yeah. Well, ladies, since we're here dressed, let's talk about the outfits. Because let me say, Marisol's dress is stunning. And it's so iconic that you guys get to wear it again. Because I feel like, obviously, for weddings, you only wear it once. And that's it. That's it. So good. Tell us the details, queen. The details. Queen. OK, so Speaker 2 (17:14) my dress is a bertha dress. I know that's great. And she's such a queen. Speaker 3 (17:21) She really did her absolute biggest with that dress. She's Speaker 2 (17:23) such a queen. Like all her dresses are so beautiful. Lace. Lace, simple, elegant. If you know me, you know I'm not like a big flashy when it comes to. You're more like dainty, right? Yes. So Speaker 1 (17:40) the Speaker 2 (17:40) moment I saw her dresses, I'm like, I know this is it. But I was a little bit scared that it wasn't going to be too simple. I think it's beautiful. Speaker 3 (17:49) But I feel Speaker 2 (17:50) like it was more fear of like, what is everybody going to say, you know? I think it's Speaker 3 (17:53) funny. Speaker 2 (17:53) I was like, oh my God, like people are so mean out there, you know? Like, is the dress going to be like too simple? Like, is it too basic? I think it was Speaker 3 (18:00) perfect. Just enough classy, elegant. That's exactly what it is. I feel like it Speaker 2 (18:04) was like the perfect touch for the hacienda. It was stunning. Like the shoulders, the sleeve. Like the little pearl details, the bows. The Speaker 3 (18:15) bows. Open back. The open Speaker 2 (18:17) back. Speaker 3 (18:18) It was. The veil. Like queen. It was perfect. I think it gave exactly what it was supposed to Speaker 2 (18:24) give. Speaker 3 (18:24) No, it was perfect. Speaker 2 (18:25) So because I did think it was a little bit simple, I took it to somebody so they can hand beat it. So like all the beating, like the dress didn't have. So a lady hand beat it a week before the wedding. I know Speaker 3 (18:38) that's right. I think this is a girl. Yeah, Speaker 2 (18:41) like, I just wanted it, like, in the reception. Se miraba, like, el cristal. Speaker 3 (18:46) But, like, other than that, like, Speaker 2 (18:48) I just wanted it to be nothing but lace. Yeah. And then my heels, they are Jimmy Choo. También lace with the pearl detail. Speaker 3 (18:57) I like how you went fitted this time. I know for your guys' first wedding, you had an ampoule dress, right? Speaker 2 (19:02) Yes. My first dress was, what is that called? Like, a gown? Speaker 3 (19:08) It was like a ball Speaker 2 (19:10) gown. Speaker 4 (19:10) Yeah. Speaker 2 (19:11) So that was my ceremony dress. And at night I changed it to a more fitted one. Wow. I live. This is the Speaker 3 (19:19) most. I'm obsessed. Yeah, it's giving classy, elegant. I don't even think the word is simple. It's just. Yeah, Speaker 2 (19:28) like. Speaker 3 (19:28) There's a word for it. It's not simple. Speaker 2 (19:31) I feel like. Speaker 3 (19:32) So elegant. It's Speaker 2 (19:33) just so dainty and. hey what's the word like like clean it's so delicate like it's so delicate like Speaker 3 (19:43) yes i don't know timeless if you want it's timeless I love that because like when you were getting ready, you were going back and forth. I think it was just like that. It wasn't even like for the actual ceremony. Oh, Speaker 2 (19:53) yeah. Speaker 3 (19:53) Like, should I wear the dainty necklace or the one with the rhinestones? Speaker 2 (19:56) And everybody Speaker 4 (19:57) was like the rhinestones, the rhinestones. And you're Speaker 2 (19:59) like, Speaker 4 (19:59) no, but like I want simplicity. Yeah, I was like, Speaker 2 (20:02) no, I guess it's too much for me. Speaker 3 (20:04) I live for it, though. I feel like that's timeless. That's something you look back at and it's always going to look elegant. And Speaker 2 (20:10) then Speaker 3 (20:10) we also thought about the fact that it was like Speaker 4 (20:12) our second wedding. Speaker 2 (20:13) And because it was the second wedding. También, in my head, I was thinking, I'm like, I don't want to pull up with, like, a ball gown, like, all ridícula. Like, bitch, we're married already. So Speaker 3 (20:21) instead, Speaker 2 (20:21) I Speaker 3 (20:21) pulled up in a carriage. Speaker 1 (20:23) Something Speaker 3 (20:24) more chill. Something more humble. I fucking love it. We have so much to get into. I love it. The moment I even got there, because I, girl, a lot. right where do we start Speaker 4 (20:40) oh my Speaker 3 (20:42) god i'm sorry he's like downtown l.a morning Speaker 4 (20:47) of no um mine and chef's tuxedo we got it custom done by um hernandez she's in l.a they're here Speaker 3 (20:54) nandes Speaker 4 (21:04) We chose the lining. We chose everything. Oh, my God. Even, like, it has my name. It's Speaker 3 (21:11) like Speaker 2 (21:11) hand-stitched. Speaker 3 (21:12) Wait, Speaker 2 (21:12) what? Speaker 3 (21:13) Luisito has his name, too. First of all, the glow-up on both of you guys. Actually, I'm wrong. No, we go back to the pictures. The Speaker 2 (21:21) store Speaker 3 (21:21) name Speaker 4 (21:21) is Glaudi, but the designer's name is Joana Hernandez. Can we talk about the difference this time, Luis? What happened? You guys Speaker 2 (21:29) are in your prime, Speaker 3 (21:30) queen. Like Speaker 2 (21:31) the glove? The glove? Speaker 3 (21:33) The Speaker 2 (21:33) way we're fat and ugly. No. The glove from wedding one. Because you guys looked great for your first wedding too. Oh, 1 Speaker 3 (21:40) ,000%. What I'm saying is like, I think you told the story on the podcast how for the first one, you had to like stitch two. No, no. That was for Speaker 4 (21:50) your wedding. Oh, Speaker 3 (21:51) shit. Speaker 4 (21:51) Can you Speaker 3 (21:52) tell them again? I was bigger, babe. No, no, no. For the Speaker 4 (21:56) first wedding, I bought. I did buy my tuxedo in downtown LA. Speaker 3 (22:00) Period. Honestly, we love her. Speaker 4 (22:02) Y la verdad, no me cerraba. Sí me cerraba, pero like... Speaker 3 (22:05) Apenas. You're like, Speaker 4 (22:06) they Speaker 3 (22:06) had to corset the back. No, no me Speaker 4 (22:09) cerraba. Cuando Karina se casó, tuve que comprar dos tuxedos. Speaker 3 (22:17) No, Speaker 4 (22:17) let me tell you. The Speaker 3 (22:19) fucking humillación que me hicieron hacer. Speaker 4 (22:21) No. The lady was like, es que mira, ocupas comprar dos trajes. Pa' que le metan tela al saco y lo pueda hacer más grande. I Speaker 3 (22:29) know Speaker 4 (22:29) those fucking Speaker 3 (22:29) tracks. Speaker 4 (22:30) It was crazy. No, literally, like, they had to fucking Frankenstein two tuxedos for my fat ass to Speaker 3 (22:36) fit Speaker 4 (22:36) in it. Who could say that, though? That's some queen shit. No, espérate. The fucking Speaker 3 (22:41) was Speaker 4 (22:41) possible, though. No, y me dijo, es que tienes que comprarlo igualito para que la tela sea igual. So, like, from the pants, they added fucking, like, extra material to the armpits. Luis, all Speaker 3 (22:53) pants and top, everything. Speaker 4 (22:54) No, no, no. The pants were fine. Speaker 2 (22:56) From the second pants, they added two tuxedos. Speaker 4 (23:00) My Speaker 2 (23:00) tuxedo was a sabana. Speaker 4 (23:02) It's like two tuxedos put together. No, and it's funny because we always joked about it, like how in the back was going to have a big corset open. Speaker 3 (23:10) I'm cackling my mouth. Speaker 4 (23:11) Only taking pictures on the front. Speaker 3 (23:14) And he's like, and now today I'm in a Speaker 4 (23:17) 4T. Speaker 3 (23:19) You know Speaker 4 (23:22) what? I have. I never, I don't like wearing tuxedos. And I'm never happy with them. Like, even now, like, I was fine. I was fine. Speaker 3 (23:30) But Speaker 4 (23:31) even at that, like, even though, like, they made this one, like, for my body. Love it. I don't like tuxedos. I live for Speaker 2 (23:36) her. Speaker 4 (23:37) Yeah. Pero, no, this time I was happy. No, Speaker 2 (23:39) yeah. Like, Speaker 4 (23:40) I did go, fuimos como tres, cuatro veces que me quedaba grande. Speaker 2 (23:43) I know that's where Speaker 4 (23:44) it goes. Speaker 2 (23:45) He kept losing weight. I Speaker 4 (23:47) starved myself the last month. I love that for you. Speaker 3 (23:50) You guys look Speaker 4 (23:51) amazing. Honestly, Speaker 3 (23:52) there's nothing that will make you lock in like you getting married. Bitch, you will drop 20, 30 pounds in a week. That wedding pressure, Speaker 2 (24:00) baby, we'll make it happen. Well, y'all was on the Speaker 3 (24:04) ground because I hadn't seen you guys in a while. So my first impression was like at the ceremony. First of all, I have to say, give Marisol her flowers. You look like a fucking Barbie then today. Every time. Like, like, you look so good. Speaker 4 (24:18) How much have you guys lost? Speaker 2 (24:21) A lot. Because Speaker 4 (24:23) you're in a match and a month. I lost 30 pounds. Queen. My goodness. No, yeah, I did. I started fucking injecting myself. What is it, Retta? I was like, me vale madre. I love that. I Speaker 2 (24:35) love that. Speaker 3 (24:36) No, I'm being badass. Please sponsor us. I know Speaker 2 (24:39) Joanna hated to see you No, you know what? If Joanna's Speaker 4 (24:44) watching this, like, like, She would be like, are you losing weight? Oh, Speaker 3 (24:47) she was doing Speaker 4 (24:47) your fittings? Yeah, she kept doing my fittings. Every time she Speaker 3 (24:50) would go, she would have to make it up. No, but honestly, Speaker 4 (24:52) I was so busy. You're so real, queen. I Speaker 3 (24:54) didn't realize Speaker 4 (24:54) I wasn't eating enough. I think Speaker 3 (24:55) you guys were so like, not stressed, but so in the party planning that you probably were not eating enough. We were planning the wedding. Speaker 4 (25:02) The wedding was around the corner and I was still working. I had events every weekend. Speaker 3 (25:05) I had an Speaker 4 (25:06) event the week before and I had an event the week after. That's crazy. Oh my God, that's actually crazy. I feel like that's what kept me busy and, like, casi no comía. At all. Speaker 3 (25:17) Well, Speaker 4 (25:18) you're so real for that, queen, because y'all look great. No, for real. Like, if somebody wants to lose weight, I mean, to each their own. Pass me that fucking injection when I get pregnant. You Speaker 3 (25:24) know what? Speaker 4 (25:24) Not everybody thinks it's, like, the best. I feel like people Speaker 3 (25:28) got to do what they do. You were so Speaker 4 (25:30) real for that shit. You know what's so sad? When I was, like, really big. You know how we all go through, like... Speaker 3 (25:36) Depressing states. Yeah. Speaker 4 (25:38) I remember thinking, like, it's going to be fucking hilarious. i was like i cannot die fat they're gonna see me naked at the morgue fat cannot honestly my biggest fear is looking Speaker 3 (25:46) huge Speaker 4 (25:47) in Speaker 3 (25:47) my casket or Speaker 4 (25:48) having to order like a custom casket that's that's crazy girl like how what Speaker 3 (25:54) what's this what's today like empty the Speaker 4 (25:56) morgue louise is coming imagine no they're Speaker 3 (25:59) like we need two beds Speaker 4 (25:59) like we need two rolling beds No, Speaker 3 (26:01) that is insane. We can't Speaker 4 (26:03) let that happen, guys. Like, forget the casket. Bring me a big-ass trash bag. No! Speaker 3 (26:07) The trash bag? Speaker 4 (26:08) A mattress bag? Not even a body bag, Karina. They'll have to use a fucking mattress bag. Speaker 3 (26:13) A mattress is crazy. Speaker 4 (26:15) No, absolutely not. Okay, Speaker 3 (26:17) we have to acknowledge that this is Marisol's first time on the podcast. Yes! Wait, Marisol has been highly requested. How do you feel, Queen, being on for the first time? I feel nervous. You're doing Speaker 2 (26:29) good. Speaker 3 (26:30) You're doing amazing, queen. Honestly, it's always a little Speaker 2 (26:32) nerve-wracking coming on the podcast. We Speaker 3 (26:34) got a pizza delivery. Okay. Well, I know you guys had something very different for the wedding, but the budget is different here. The best we could do was Speaker 4 (26:45) Little Caesars. Speaker 3 (26:45) Right? Talking Speaker 4 (26:47) about that, talking about the dinner, I remember for our first wedding, we had birria and Mexican food, which it was amazing. This time around, I remember asking on Instagram, like, hey, like, our guests, what do you guys want, Mexican food or something different? 99.9 people voted Mexican food. Girl, that filet mignon was diabolically delicious. I regret not Speaker 3 (27:09) trying Speaker 4 (27:10) that one. I had the salmon. It was delicious. Speaker 3 (27:12) But I Speaker 4 (27:13) wish I Speaker 3 (27:13) could have eaten Speaker 2 (27:13) it. Oh, my Speaker 3 (27:13) God. When I was dancing, like, obviously, they're going to pick up the plates, right? Because they want, they have to pick up all the trash. I was about Speaker 2 (27:19) to go digging in the fucking dumpsters, bitch. That shit was so good. No, you're going to be so mad. No, Speaker 4 (27:24) I Speaker 2 (27:24) didn't touch Speaker 3 (27:25) his plate. He got the, the, the, I don't know what you're saying. He got that one. And I remember, I think Brian told him he was done. I was looking at Brian. I was literally almost killing Brian with my eyes. I'm like, what do you mean? He's almost done. He finally touched the plate. I was hoping to fuck it up. I was so upset. No, Speaker 2 (27:38) I know. Speaker 4 (27:38) We had told him to settle to like, hey, la comida no la tienen. And obviously, hours later. Of course, hours later, yeah. They Speaker 2 (27:45) did leave it there late. Yeah. I'm not going to leave it all night. I mean, they were definitely there for Speaker 3 (27:49) a Speaker 2 (27:49) while. I Speaker 3 (27:49) was drinking a badass, Speaker 2 (27:49) I Speaker 4 (27:50) was drunk, and I wanted to go back to my filet mignon. I feel like everything happened so fast, we didn't even have time to go back and eat. No. Speaker 2 (27:56) Anyways, Speaker 4 (27:56) well, I guess we can start with, like, how, when we started planning and how everything happened. And also, the big question. People, Speaker 3 (28:05) you know, some people were like, is this the... Like, did you get married by Sevilla in the beginning? Is this the church wedding? Or like, you know, just people wondering like, were they married before? Like, what's the tea? We Speaker 4 (28:16) had our Catholic wedding Speaker 3 (28:19) 10 years ago. Speaker 4 (28:20) You know what? Looking back, I feel like it was such a blur because like how we were talking with Crystal earlier, because actually your producer of the show, of the podcast, she was our photographer, our wedding photographer. That's crazy, Speaker 3 (28:31) huh? That's so cool. Speaker 4 (28:33) For Speaker 1 (28:33) many of us going further. Speaker 1 (28:59) Beyond Borders Speaker 4 (29:04) And that night before, we had our wedding at the Hacienda here. Our first wedding. And we were setting up until like 3 in the morning. Why were we Speaker 2 (29:17) setting up? It was like 3 in the morning. Oh my God, I remember. Speaker 4 (29:21) And then we got back and then I maybe got like 30 or an hour of sleep. I was sleep deprived the whole day. That's so Speaker 3 (29:30) crazy. And Speaker 4 (29:31) then... Crystal reminded me of something which I had forgotten. I didn't even know about that. She said that I left and I did because I had bought myself some, well, then I had saved up to buy myself some Jimmy shoe, like, like dressy shoes. Speaker 3 (29:45) Wow. And Speaker 4 (29:45) I'm guessing my foot was, because I had tried them on in Vegas when I bought them. They had fit. I'm guessing my, my foot was so swollen. And I mean, I've always had like. like white feet right so um and then i told crystal like well i'm going to the mall and i went to the mall and i bought myself like some dress some dressy shoes because i have to have shoes but that morning was so hectic um myra did marisol's makeup and hair you did Speaker 3 (30:12) you Speaker 4 (30:13) did my Speaker 2 (30:14) god wait Speaker 4 (30:15) your hair too yeah Speaker 2 (30:18) Oh my God. I don't know why I forgot about that. Wait Speaker 4 (30:20) a minute. I was so shocked. Speaker 2 (30:23) Yeah. You Speaker 4 (30:24) had gotten my mom ready and somebody else ready. And then you still ran to Marisol's house and you got her ready. And she was the last one to get ready. It's crazy. But she was fine. Right. But I remember you were so stressed out because you had to get a lot of people ready. Why did we do that? I don't know. I'm Speaker 2 (30:40) like, why put that pressure on you too? Like, why are we hiring? I think that's the most important thing. Speaker 3 (30:45) I don't know. I'm telling you, Mara, that gave us the blur. Mara, that gave us the blur. That's Speaker 4 (30:50) what Speaker 3 (30:50) happens when you're the one that does, like, the makeup. My whole, like, even holidays, I remember I would get people ready. It was just a thing I was used to. Yes, you were going to do it with you, your Speaker 2 (30:59) mom, like, your household. But I think more people ended up being at your house, and everybody ended up asking you, like, can you do my makeup? I don't even know how I did that. So then by the time... Speaker 4 (31:09) What? Speaker 2 (31:10) I Speaker 4 (31:10) don't even remember that. Obviously, Mara, so you... Obviously, you got her ready, and then we got to church. And I swear, I remember being at church and just thinking, like, I was focused on everything else but the mass. I was focused about, like, what else do we need? Like, I remember my mom cooked. Speaker 3 (31:26) So Speaker 4 (31:27) my mom still had to go back home, get the food, like, load it up and take it to the venue. I was thinking about, like, what else do we need? Because I'm used to being there while they're setting up, and I was so worried about what it was going to look like when we were to get there. Speaker 3 (31:42) Yeah. But Speaker 4 (31:42) anyways, the only thing I remember from that day 10 years ago is our drive by ourselves to the venue. Oh, Speaker 2 (31:50) my Speaker 4 (31:50) God. Speaker 3 (31:50) I remember that. Yeah. I Speaker 4 (31:52) can Speaker 3 (31:52) tell you that. I remember, like, Speaker 4 (31:53) we were driving my mom's white car, Speaker 2 (31:55) the Speaker 4 (31:56) white BMW. And I remember thinking, like, we were driving. Like, I remember what part of the freeway. Yeah. Speaker 2 (32:01) We were Speaker 4 (32:02) driving. Like, oh, we're on our way to our reception. It was, like, maybe the most beautiful part that we remember. And it was just us driving to the venue. Wow. So then we get there, and then from there, it's honestly a blur. It was just Speaker 2 (32:14) everything like back to back to back. So we Speaker 4 (32:16) were taking pictures with Crystal. That's Speaker 2 (32:19) crazy. And Speaker 4 (32:19) I told her, I was like, hey. Give Speaker 2 (32:22) me a minute. No, no, no. Speaker 4 (32:24) We're like, we have to go to Cox's Fower because we have to do. No, no, no. I told her, let me go up to the venue. Speaker 2 (32:30) And let Speaker 4 (32:31) me ask how. Let me just check how everything's going. Speaker 2 (32:34) And you never came back down. So I Speaker 4 (32:35) remember we got off on the golf course. On the golf course. Speaker 2 (32:38) The golf cart. Speaker 4 (32:39) And we drove up to the... Don Graviel. What a king, huh? You guys remember Don Graviel? He drove us to the top of the reception. And everything was fine. I mean, for then, we did have a really pretty wedding. It was beautiful. It Speaker 3 (32:54) was Speaker 4 (32:54) iconic. Speaker 3 (32:55) Even now, it would have been beautiful. Speaker 4 (32:57) But then we just... And then time went by so fast. And then I know we did an entrance with the horses at Cog Tower. Speaker 3 (33:04) And then Speaker 4 (33:04) out of nowhere, we just started reception. And I remember we had told Crystal, like, hey, like, as soon as we're done with this, we'll go out and take more pictures. And Speaker 2 (33:12) it Speaker 4 (33:12) just never happened. Yeah, Speaker 2 (33:13) I remember you kept telling us. You're like, let's go take pictures. Let's go take pictures. And we were like, we just want to dance. We were Speaker 4 (33:19) trying to have a good Speaker 2 (33:20) time. We Speaker 4 (33:20) just want to dance. Luckily, when you did your second outfit change, she pulled us to the fountain. And we Speaker 2 (33:25) took the pictures by the fountain. And she took us Speaker 4 (33:27) pictures at the fountain. Wow. We do have beautiful pictures from the day. I just wish we would have organized it in a different way where we would have had more memories of that. Also, since Speaker 3 (33:36) you're a wedding planner, which, by the way, I know a lot of you guys know, but if you don't Speaker 4 (33:39) know. Speaker 3 (33:39) I hate the Speaker 4 (33:40) word wedding planning. We do. Yeah. What? I'm an event producer. Speaker 3 (33:45) He's like, it's a producer, girl. Well, as an event producer, he obviously, with that first wedding, you were so hands-on, like fully. Very hands-on. Speaker 4 (33:55) So you Speaker 3 (33:56) were so stressed out. My mom made my Speaker 4 (33:57) manteles. My mom cooked. We used everything I had, like as far as like tableware, chairs, everything. And... Aww. Speaker 4 (34:14) I remember then I really wanted some glass charger plates. Yeah, Speaker 2 (34:18) I remember that. Los que se están ahorita, like the beaded ones? Yeah, the Speaker 4 (34:20) beaded ones. And I wanted them so bad, I just couldn't Speaker 2 (34:23) afford it. Speaker 4 (34:23) And Speaker 2 (34:23) they Speaker 4 (34:23) were so expensive. Speaker 2 (34:24) And Speaker 4 (34:24) even at that, even at that, like we had help from you guys, from like other siblings. We did get a lot of help that time. Speaker 3 (34:30) It was in the beginning of your business too. Like you guys have evolved a lot. A lot of my vendors helped Speaker 4 (34:36) me. Like I remember one of my vendors me prestó el stage for the banda. I feel like we got a lot of hookups. Even Guillermo did our flowers. From the first wedding. They helped us a lot. But if something like that time, I wanted those charger plates. I Speaker 1 (34:54) wanted Speaker 4 (34:54) them so bad and I couldn't afford them. It was going to be like a $1,500 or $2,000 expense that I couldn't afford them. But anyway, even at that, we had a great time. Speaker 3 (35:08) Now Speaker 4 (35:09) with my clients, we honestly, I go above and beyond for my clients. There's things, I don't even know how the fuck I do it sometimes. Like we do too much sometimes for them. And I've always wanted to be the client. And I believe in the client. Oh my God. That line right there. That part. We always wanted to be the client. I wanted to like show up to your reception and like. Most of my brides or my clients, they cry and they think of how beautiful their wedding was, how stress-free it was, and how much they enjoyed it. Wow. And I was like, why didn't we get that the first time? Speaker 3 (35:42) Even though it was Speaker 4 (35:43) nice, our guests, they all tell us we had a beautiful wedding. But the stress was all falling on you. It Speaker 3 (35:48) was Speaker 4 (35:48) on me, and it's always like that. People come over to my kids' birthday parties, and they're Speaker 3 (35:52) like, Speaker 4 (35:52) oh, it was so beautiful. And I'm over here fucking pulling my fucking hair. I'm stressed the fuck out. I'm always such a host. That I forget to enjoy the moment. Like, always. Yes. So, yes, we renewed our 10-year... We renewed our vows for our 10th anniversary. It's not traditional in our culture.
