Speaker 6 (0:00) Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. Speaker 1 (0:10) Trust no one and accuse everyone in Who's the Bad Guy, the official Barstool Sports social deduction game from the brilliant mind of Nick Teraney. In what's quickly becoming the most popular new party game around, players are secretly assigned unique roles with the good guys trying to expose the bad guys, and the bad guys doing everything they can to stay hidden. Each game unfolds under alternating day and night phases, with roles like the cool chick, the shy guy, the gambler, el presidente, the mentalist, the planner, the funny guy, and more. Every round is unpredictable, chaotic, and ridiculously fun. Who's the Bad Guy is great for parties, pregames, family gatherings, or groups who just love deception-based games. Game night will never be the same. Shop now on Walmart.com. Speaker 5 (0:54) What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Friday. Happy Friday, everybody. Happy Friday. Happy Friday. We're going to Vegas. We are. We're headed to Vegas. Wow. It's been a while. Yeah, I mean, the first time I went to Vegas, I was in fifth grade. Yeah, Speaker 6 (1:16) that's really a Speaker 5 (1:17) different experience. It's an odd family vacation to take. Speaker 6 (1:21) There's a lot. to do it was awesome shows and Speaker 5 (1:25) magic we went to m &m world we saw magicians yes a lot of magic we got dragged through the casino through the smoke and fire and everything you know while my parents gambled their life money away and yeah that's Speaker 6 (1:44) That's just the way it went. Speaker 5 (1:45) And that's just the way it went. And I actually remember we showed up to the Flamingo in Vegas. Speaker 6 (1:51) Yeah. Speaker 5 (1:52) Which doesn't Speaker 6 (1:53) exist, right? Speaker 5 (1:54) No, it does. Oh, it does. The Speaker 6 (1:55) Flamingo. Speaker 5 (1:55) What just got Speaker 6 (1:56) knocked down? Speaker 5 (1:57) Maybe it was. Oh, no. Tropicana. The Tropicana. Okay. So the Flamingo exists. My parents on their honeymoon went to Vegas and then Hawaii. So they stopped in Vegas and went to Hawaii and they stayed at the Flamingo. So. This was like for one of their anniversaries when we went. And so we were staying at the Flamingo. They wanted to run it back. They wanted to run it back. And we went in into our rooms. Yeah. And like obviously like me, my brother and sister all sharing room and then my mom and dad. And my mom checked the mattresses and the beds, which she always did and has made me kind of. a psycho with that stuff too, we immediately left the Flamingo. There was, there was no staying at the Flamingo that night. Yeah. Speaker 5 (2:49) I don't remember where or I think they might have just put us into a different room at the Flamingo because it wasn't like we could just go to any hotel. They were like, no, we're staying here. Speaker 6 (3:00) Because then I do remember eating. Speaker 5 (3:03) Yeah, the breakfast buffet was awesome because there was flamingos. Sorry, I'm just recounting my first time in Vegas as a fifth grader. But it was awesome because I remember there were actual flamingos. Real ones? Yeah, so I think they just put us in different rooms and it was a whole thing. And it started off the night not great. But it was the first time I flew anywhere sort of. far from, you know, the other side. And I remember being like, this flight was awesome. Like I like slept the whole time. And I remember thinking it was so far. I was like, wow. It is. It is very far. And it's a totally different landscape. No, it was totally different, but it was awesome. You Speaker 6 (3:43) were in the Speaker 5 (3:43) desert? Yeah, we went to, we were in Arizona and Vegas at the same time. I remember because we went to the Hoover Dam. Oh, Speaker 6 (3:50) yeah. Speaker 5 (3:51) Right? Yeah. Yeah. The Hoover Dam. Yeah. Speaker 5 (3:56) Yeah. Yeah. What a trip. What a trip. Speaker 6 (3:59) I'm very much looking forward to... Speaker 6 (4:03) our rum haven event that we have on saturday if you're in the area maybe maybe maybe you're going on a bachelorette trip yes you got to sign up to come to the party whatever it is we're doing this uh rum haven pool party on saturday the omnia 130 to 4 i Speaker 5 (4:23) believe the time is Speaker 6 (4:24) local Speaker 5 (4:25) time Can you believe Kyle Cook is going to be there the same weekend? I think I saw that. Look, there's so many things that we're missing. Is Speaker 6 (4:32) that correct? Speaker 5 (4:32) Can we double check that? I Speaker 6 (4:33) think maybe Friday night? No. No, I think we're missing it by like a weekend. Speaker 4 (4:39) Friday. No, Speaker 6 (4:40) it's this Friday Speaker 4 (4:42) night. October 2nd. Speaker 6 (4:44) Oh, during the day. During the day. Ah. So we're competing with him. I'll be there. No, ours on Saturday. Speaker 4 (4:52) Oh, yeah, you're right. He's on Friday. Speaker 6 (4:53) Should I just go by myself? Speaker 5 (4:54) You should. You should go by yourself. I have like a Speaker 6 (4:56) full day by myself, basically. Speaker 5 (4:58) I Speaker 6 (4:59) really wanted to... I've just been waiting for the right thing to go to the Sphere. You know? I really want to go. Well, we're going to John Mayer. We missed all Speaker 4 (5:09) the Speaker 6 (5:09) Backstreet Boys. Speaker 4 (5:10) Yes, Speaker 6 (5:10) that's Speaker 4 (5:10) what Speaker 6 (5:10) I was Speaker 4 (5:11) going Speaker 6 (5:11) to say. I should have gone when it was Backstreet Boys because that's way more up my alley. But I never considered myself like a massive Backstreet Boys fan. to warrant going despite how much people raved about it as a whole. They said it was awesome. And then I was like, ooh, ooh, let me type in, see who's going to be at the Sphere next while we're on this trip. Metallica. So that couldn't be more polar opposite of everything in my being. And the fact that we're going to be in Vegas and Metallica fans are going to be running around. You know what's awesome, though? Well. Speaker 5 (5:48) Can you imagine Enter Sandman in the sphere? Have you ever watched Metallica perform in Moscow in Speaker 6 (5:58) 1980? Speaker 5 (6:00) Look it up. Metallica, Enter Sandman. I don't think I've watched Speaker 6 (6:03) Metallica perform ever. Oh, Speaker 5 (6:05) wow. This will give you chills. I mean, we're not going to be able to play it. I think it was in Moscow, 1991. Speaker 5 (6:12) Yes. Speaker 6 (6:13) This Speaker 5 (6:13) live is one of the best videos. It'll give you chills. So this was a free festival. Oh, Speaker 6 (6:20) that Speaker 5 (6:20) makes sense. Or Speaker 6 (6:21) a Speaker 5 (6:21) free show in the festival. I mean, Speaker 6 (6:23) look, the recommended video that plays next is Lars Jorik on with Conan O'Brien saying that that show was a mindfuck of a concert. How insane is that? Yeah. Yeah. So like watching it back is probably crazy for them. And then like be, imagine being there and you look back on Speaker 5 (6:38) this video and you're like, I was there. Yeah. Speaker 6 (6:40) Or do we have all the members of Metallica? Speaker 5 (6:43) That's a good question. Speaker 6 (6:45) Just like as the band stayed intact. Speaker 6 (6:48) Where if you're going to see them at the Sphere, they're all together? Speaker 4 (6:52) No. The bass player died in 1986. Speaker 6 (6:56) Oh. Okay. So it's been a while. I mean, yeah, that's a while. I just meant if there was anybody coming in or coming out, you know? Right. Not necessarily death. Maybe if there's some people that... Left and came back or anything of the sort. I Speaker 5 (7:13) don't know my Metallica history that well, but I do know that video and that lives in my brain. I Speaker 6 (7:19) know nothing Speaker 5 (7:19) about Speaker 6 (7:19) Metallica. Speaker 4 (7:20) Do you know, are you a big Goo Goo Dolls people? No. Speaker 6 (7:23) My brother watches that video nonstop. I know you're going to talk about it. That's a famous video. In Buffalo where Speaker 4 (7:28) it's pouring rain and they play Iris. Because he's from Buffalo too. Yeah, JB Speaker 6 (7:34) had like one of, he had a TikTok. Like semi viral of him joking about watching that video for like the nine million time because it is another one that's Speaker 4 (7:44) awesome Yeah, Speaker 6 (7:45) yeah, I Speaker 4 (7:45) wish we could play music on this. I know we can I Speaker 6 (7:47) know it is a sick video when he goes and I don't want the world to see me Speaker 5 (7:53) It's just it's one Speaker 6 (7:54) of Speaker 5 (7:54) those things that you wish you could live through. Speaker 6 (7:56) And I don't think that they'd understand. Yeah, Speaker 5 (7:59) yeah Yeah. Speaker 6 (8:00) Rock and Speaker 5 (8:01) roll, baby. Yeah, that's just rock and roll. Speaker 6 (8:03) Metallica at the Sphere. We'll be there. It's Speaker 5 (8:06) funny because it's like Speaker 6 (8:06) either you can go see Wizard of Oz or you can go see Metallica. Right, you can hit the Wizard of Oz Speaker 5 (8:11) 2 p.m. or you can do the 9 p.m. Metallica. Speaker 6 (8:14) Exactly. And the thought of us doing like a day party and then rolling into going to see Metallica. Speaker 5 (8:22) Listen. Is Speaker 6 (8:23) objectively hilarious. We will not be doing that. We won't, but it sounds epic. I'm just waiting for it. I know John Mayer obviously will be going to the sphere and that is one that I would absolutely want to go to, but I'm just waiting for someone that I feel very passionate about to be at the sphere and then I will. Make sure I'm there. I Speaker 5 (8:42) agree with you. It's got to be a passionate first time experience. It's just like an incredible place. It does. It does. Something I feel like you have to experience if you can. Yeah. So we'll be in Vegas. I'm kind of in and out of there. Showing up late on Friday, leaving Saturday night. You're really not even there. Speaker 6 (9:01) You're there for like 24 hours. Speaker 5 (9:02) No. Yeah. I mean, listen, I'm in the throw of unpacking. Yeah. everything. I don't know where anything is. Everything's in boxes. I have to get home to get organized. We're Speaker 6 (9:15) also coming home for a Speaker 5 (9:15) day Speaker 6 (9:15) to then leave again. Exactly. We are Speaker 5 (9:18) traveling again on Tuesday. Yeah, we're gone next Speaker 6 (9:20) week. Speaker 5 (9:21) So... I have to be home for a day or two to get my life in order. Everything's gone out the window this week. It's a wash on how I look, how I smell, how I'm dressing. I really, it's wash. My migraine is still here. Well, I can't say Speaker 6 (9:34) you've smelled bad at all this week. Thank you. So you can at least hold your head high on that one. Speaker 5 (9:39) I actually had a dream someone told me I smelled bad last night. No, no, no. I had such a weird dream last night. It was so odd. Let's talk about it. No. Speaker 6 (9:49) Let's make sure that this podcast is us watching a video that no one else can watch. And then Speaker 4 (9:53) talk Speaker 6 (9:53) about the dream Speaker 5 (9:54) that no one cares about. Right. Moving on. Anyways, my migraine is still intact and it's driving me insane. Yeah, Speaker 6 (10:00) that can't be good. No. I told you, and I don't know if anybody else has experienced this, and I think you should go, but when I was dealing with bad headaches with my period, I was recommended to go to acupuncture. And my God, it really helped. Really helped. I should look into that. That sounds very nice. Yeah. And it's just like also just a really. Nice experience. Right, but Speaker 5 (10:26) it's just like add it to the fucking list of things we got to do to maintain maintenance, all this shit. Yeah, Speaker 6 (10:31) I know. You know what I mean? Speaker 5 (10:32) At least Speaker 6 (10:32) this is one to make you feel better. It's not like a, I got to go get my hair done. Right, yeah. It's a little less superficial. It's like, no, this will make you feel better. That's Speaker 5 (10:41) true. That's Speaker 6 (10:42) true. Speaker 5 (10:42) Yeah, it's just been a hectic week, so I think the migraine is just, yeah, period. hormone stress related obviously because now with traveling right around the corner and I'm not unpacked and I'm disorganized I don't like that I like to have an organized home yeah organized home organized brain brain right now disorganized but we'll get through it my in-laws are actually coming this weekend to help Matt unpack so that's a nice treat for me that Speaker 6 (11:10) is nice because I'll come back Speaker 5 (11:11) I'll come back Speaker 6 (11:12) yeah And it'll be unpacked. And it'll be unpacked. So Speaker 5 (11:18) that'll be really nice. Yes. Speaker 6 (11:20) I had Speaker 5 (11:23) someone message me yesterday and was like, oh my God, you were so unhinged on the podcast. And I was like, you know what it is? When you're fighting off a migraine or something, you don't have time to mask your inner thoughts. Yeah, no, they just all come out. Because you're too busy fighting the other thing. I can't fight my inner thoughts and my migraine at once. So all those thoughts win over the migraine. You know, that's why I just said anything I was thinking because I can't do both at the same time. Yeah, Speaker 6 (11:54) yeah. Speaker 5 (11:54) Valid. Speaker 6 (11:55) Yeah, it is. Your hair looks lovely. You got it done. Thank you. I did get just my roots done and a nice, you know, toner. A little refresh. Because my grays are just coming in loud and proud. And it's just, you know, I'm 32. What's a girl to do? Oh, my God. Why are we rhyming so much? We're just like, we just are like, we Speaker 5 (12:16) are just so awesome. Why are we rhyming? Speaker 6 (12:18) We are rhyming so much. My grays are here. So talented. And... And I would pluck them. Yeah. I would pull my hair. And you know what? Hair is valuable these days. The hair on your head is valuable. And I was looking in the mirror last week and I thought, now there's just too many coming in for me to be pulling out of my head. You know? Speaker 5 (12:41) Got it. So I said, Speaker 6 (12:42) I'd rather just go and get it touched up so that it's not bothering me. And it's like, it was never crazy visible, but at my... part on the top of my head. I could start to see it. But when I pulled my hair back, all those pesky ones underneath were peeking out. And I was like, oh, no. Well, I never noticed. I think your hair looks beautiful. I love the color. Love the color. Speaker 5 (13:07) It looks gorgeous. it's that time of the year where it's, you make the decision of, do I change my hair? Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 6 (13:13) And Speaker 5 (13:14) I'm Speaker 6 (13:15) not really, and I, and I haven't changed it in so long and I'm, I do like, I've kept my same color and now going into fall, it felt even more festive. I was, my, uh, my trainer was laughing at me this morning because I came like hair, a deeper Auburn. I got my brown nails. I was in an all brown, uh, uh, work like outfit. And he was like, wow, you're, Hello, Miss Fall. Yeah, hello, Sweater Weather. Sweater Weather. It's a little too Speaker 5 (13:42) warm right now. No, it is. Speaker 6 (13:43) It's not Sweater Weather. Sorry not to talk about the weather. I know, but it's... Not to now go from dreams to weather. Yeah. But we're in a little bit of a heat wave coming through right now. We have Speaker 5 (13:52) so Speaker 6 (13:53) much Speaker 5 (13:53) to say, Speaker 6 (13:54) clearly. Yeah. I got the bug now to go brunette because Hailey Bieber, her hair looks so gorgeous. Like this tussled, like this effortlessly tussled brown hair that she's got going on is making me. That's always the brown I wanted my hair to look like when I had my natural color. Speaker 5 (14:11) It's so pretty. And on her, I don't look like Hailey Bieber, so I don't know. But I do like to. You Speaker 6 (14:17) just had your hair brown. I know. Not that long ago. It looks gorgeous. I thank Speaker 5 (14:20) you. I actually do like going brown for the fall and winter. I do a lot. So I think I'm head. in that direction soon because I had to fill in my roots. So I have a shadow root going on right now because I was very blonde during the summer and then my roots were going out. I have to do a shadow root because my hair grows fast. And now I'm just like in the in-between and I'm like, I think I want to head towards brunette. But I'm so annoyed because I posted it on my story that I want to go brunette and our listeners are the best. They're like, do it, do it, do it. They love your brunette hair. They Speaker 6 (14:50) do. My aunt writes back, no, LOL. I'm like, well, our biggest haters are our family. Right, Speaker 5 (14:55) exactly. Like, Speaker 6 (14:56) why have haters Speaker 5 (14:57) when you can have your family? Yeah, no, Speaker 6 (14:59) absolutely. So why are you doing that? Oh, I don't know. Because I want Speaker 5 (15:02) it and I like it. Or Speaker 6 (15:03) just that generation. The video I posted of me on the carpet, I clicked on her profile. She's an older woman. Maybe a grandma. Looked like maybe she had a grandkid in her profile picture. She's like, why are you moving your head like that? Speaker 6 (15:18) Sorry, Janine. I was just trying to get my angles. God Speaker 5 (15:21) forbid Speaker 6 (15:21) I get a look off. Yeah. Just trying to get my angles. I can't. I actually did notice, and every single time I think sabotage. Because when we posted the photos of us from the carpet, I was looking at the comments on Chicks in the Office, and someone was like, Rhea, hear me out, a shoulder-length cut. I went, no. No. What the fuck Speaker 5 (15:41) is up with that? You Speaker 6 (15:42) want to know why? It's because you had your hair like this. No, I know, but what? And it looked gorge. It looked gorge like, but I'm saying you Speaker 5 (15:48) wouldn't Speaker 6 (15:49) cut it. Speaker 5 (15:49) No, but that's insane. Yeah. Anybody telling me to cut my hair, the only thing that I get complimented on to a bob so that what? So I have nothing left? Right. So there's nothing? On my last redeeming quality gone? No, Speaker 6 (16:04) literally Speaker 5 (16:04) the only redeeming quality I have because it's the only thing people compliment, I'm going to cut it off? Speaker 6 (16:09) Speaking of, did you mention the aunt from Sabrina the Teenage Witch? complimenting your hair? Speaker 5 (16:13) No, Speaker 6 (16:13) I didn't. Caroline Rhea. Oh my god, it's because I Speaker 5 (16:16) wasn't on the episode so I wasn't there to bring it up. Right. Thank you for bringing it up. Yeah. This is really helping my migraine. No, Speaker 6 (16:21) it's Speaker 5 (16:21) good. I took a trip to the gas station to get pumped up. Caroline Rhea. Yes. From Sabrina T.H. Rich and also many other things. So many. Was that Dancing with the Stars today? Was that Dancing with the Stars? Near us. And Speaker 6 (16:32) she stopped me and goes, I have to ask you, how is your hair so beautiful? I said, Speaker 5 (16:36) oh my God, this is going to sound really obnoxious. It's genetics. I don't know. Speaker 6 (16:40) And let me tell you something. Now it's like, we could actually have a good little routine with this. That could be like a little buddy-buddy routine where you do that. You know, you have your spiel of like, ah, it's like, it's really genetic. And I should just be behind you going. Speaker 5 (16:54) it's Speaker 6 (16:55) genetics because you know it's so Speaker 5 (16:59) obnoxious yeah but but it is true though and you know what it's like when i asked rob lowe why he's like so good looking and he was like it's genetics i don't fucking know i was born this way um Speaker 6 (17:10) it is it does kind of go along with my theory of not even a theory, just my stance of male hair when they cut it short and if they have the ability to have it long, why would they not have it long? I do feel that way about your hair. It's like, if you have it, why would you cut Speaker 5 (17:29) it Speaker 6 (17:29) off? Speaker 5 (17:29) But I also just don't have a face for a bob. Like, I just don't have that. I had my hair in a very short cut. Your hair was very short. At one point. And I was way younger. And I don't like how I looked. Yeah. No, your hair. Sorry. It's so fair. I'm Speaker 6 (17:44) just being. And Speaker 5 (17:45) at the end of the day, you get to choose. Yeah, I get to choose. And I, you know, it took me a while to get my hair back to this because I grew up with hair like this. So my hair, because people will ask me, how did you get your hair like that? It wasn't always like that. It was, though. Growing up, I had a hair like this. There was a stint where my hair, I was treating it poorly. And, you know, it was too blonde and it got fried off and I treated my body like shit. So just everything wasn't working for itself. And now it's back to being what it was, what I grew up with. And so people go, oh, my God, how did you get it that way? And I'm like, no, I really do think it's genetics because I was this way. And then I ruined it. And then it had to find its way back. Whatever. I don't know, man. Like, seriously, I was Speaker 6 (18:25) blabbing because my head hurts. But, like, I'm Speaker 5 (18:27) happy to be here. And I'm happy to entertain. Speaker 6 (18:30) Absolutely. Always. Speaker 5 (18:31) This is what brings me so much joy and happiness talking. I Speaker 6 (18:34) really, I really just. Okay, we've gone from dreams to weather to Rhea getting sentimental. No. Oh, throwing Rhea's hair in there. Right. Speaker 5 (18:43) I really am just so enjoying this studio. This show. Oh, okay. Which I think has a lot to do with Speaker 6 (18:53) the Speaker 5 (18:53) studio. No, it probably does. I just feel like we're all riffing. The banter's great. The chemistry's off the charts. Numbers Speaker 6 (19:01) are Speaker 5 (19:01) up. Speaker 6 (19:01) Up, up, up. Yeah, the engagement's up. Like, I'm just Speaker 5 (19:04) so happy. Like I come here so happy to do this job every day. You know what I realized we missed? And I just want that to come across, even if I sound like I have a little bit of an attitude because of a headache. And I just, I want everyone to know I am grateful to be here. I really am. I really am. I was smiling. It's your new commute. It is. That's great, too. But I will say I was smiling ear to ear in the shower last night because Speaker 6 (19:32) Noah had sent me some clips. Was Speaker 5 (19:34) Matt Speaker 6 (19:34) also in the shower? Speaker 5 (19:35) No, no, no. He was not there this time. But Noah had sent me some clips to go over before posting. And I was watching them and I said, oh, God, we are just so funny. And I was I. You know what? Sue me for thinking that we're funny. Yeah. And we're a good time to be around. And I just was smiling. Clip Speaker 6 (20:00) that. Speaker 5 (20:01) No, Speaker 6 (20:01) I just was smiling, Speaker 5 (20:02) thinking to myself, like, this is Speaker 6 (20:04) just so fun that we get to do this as our job. We are so blessed. We really are. Anyways, I was trying to bring that back around to the fact that I was walking. I was just on a walk with Olive and was thinking. About the season changing and the years going by and just having those thoughts on my walk. I'm walking past Pete's Tavern and I'm seeing all the young people out about having their happy hour cocktails. I'm thinking, wow, you know, I've been in the city for a long time and what a journey it's been. And then I thought, we must have just passed 10 years of when you were hired. Well, it was September 29th. So it was like two days ago. Speaker 4 (20:46) So literally a couple days ago. Speaker 6 (20:46) Yeah. Speaker 4 (20:47) You're like, well, not really. It was two days ago. Speaker 6 (20:50) No, Speaker 5 (20:50) no, Speaker 6 (20:50) no. But isn't it
