Speaker 3 (0:00) Hey, Chicks in the Office listeners. You can find every episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. Prime members can listen ad-free on Amazon Music. Speaker 1 (0:10) Trust no one and accuse everyone in Who's the Bad Guy, the official Barstool Sports social deduction game from the brilliant mind of Nick Teraney. In what's quickly becoming the most popular new party game around, players are secretly assigned unique roles with the good guys trying to expose the bad guys and the bad guys doing everything they can to stay hidden. Each game unfolds under alternating day and night phases with roles like the cool chick, the shy guy, the gambler, el presidente, the mentalist, the planner, the funny guy, and more. Every round is unpredictable, chaotic, and ridiculously fun. Who's the Bad Guy is great for parties, pregames, family gatherings, or groups who just love deception-based games. Game night will never be the same. Shop now on Walmart.com. Speaker 3 (0:54) What's up, everyone? It's Chicks in the Office with Rianne Fran giving you that Friday energy on a Wednesday. Happy Wednesday, everybody. Oh, Speaker 5 (1:03) my Speaker 3 (1:03) God. How Speaker 5 (1:03) great was Dancing with the Stars? How great was it when we were, oh, my God. Oh, my God. We were, I mean, I can't believe Speaker 3 (1:10) we were on TV. No, no, Speaker 5 (1:11) I can't believe we're on TV. Dancing in the Speaker 3 (1:12) background, this has been our dream. Speaker 5 (1:14) I mean, look, it's one thing to be on TV here. It's another thing. Can we just discuss? That it's the first day of fall. And it feels. Speaker 4 (1:20) It Speaker 5 (1:20) really feels like Speaker 3 (1:21) fall. Speaker 5 (1:22) It feels like fall. Like I can feel that like in the air. And I just want Speaker 3 (1:25) to. Speaker 5 (1:25) I just want to put on my fur coat. Speaker 3 (1:27) Your sweaters. Oh, yeah. Break out the sweaters. High Speaker 5 (1:29) neck sweaters. That's what I want to do. Speaker 3 (1:31) Okay. Cut. Cut. Cut. Is that good? Rob, it's not working. I thought I sounded just like her. No, Speaker 5 (1:36) cut. Speaker 3 (1:36) This isn't working. We Speaker 2 (1:37) need Fran back. Speaker 5 (1:38) Really? Yeah. Am I fired? You're Speaker 2 (1:40) fired. God damn it. Speaker 3 (1:41) Okay. You can leave now. All right, that's enough of Rob for now. We'll get to him later. Great interview at the end of today's episode, so look forward to that. We're going to get into today's show. We're going to talk all about Dancing with the Stars last night. We got Taylor Swift news, more topics to talk about. Unfortunately, Fran is not here today. She is sadly at a funeral, so it's just going to be Noah and I, but we're still going to break down everything from Dancing with the Stars and all the other topics that I said. I mean, we got to just get right into it. Fresh off of Red Eye right now, went from Monday, we filmed something in the morning that we cannot talk about yet, to doing the podcast, to then going to the airport, getting to LA, to the surprise Dancing with the Stars appearance. Little background info on that. I'm going to take everyone back a little bit. Speaker 2 (2:32) First of all, hi, Noah. What's up? I'm here. Noah's here. Noah's here. Dangerous when it's just us. Speaker 3 (2:37) It is. It is dangerous. And especially with these Speaker 2 (2:40) topics. Dancing with the Stars and Taylor Swift, there's a lot of room for saying something that could offend people that Fran might not let us say. Speaker 3 (2:48) Yeah, right, right. No, we're going to be great. And we're very excited to get into everything. But I do want to take it back a little bit. So a couple weeks ago, we find out. Tyler Cameron is on Dancing with the Stars. We're texting with him. And he's like, girls, what should I do for, you know, viral hit? I think at the time he said TikTok night, but I think that was last year and then they changed to viral hits, whatever. And I was like, you know, you should do girls like Ed Leroy and have an off-campus moment and do the Garrett Graham dance. Like if we're talking viral. off the top of the head. We know Tyler Cameron loves taking his shirt off. Let's play into that. And... Speaker 3 (3:35) Didn't hear much after that. Fran was like, that's genius. Totally should do that. And then I think it was the week after or whatever, Tyler was like, we are doing girls. And I'm like, oh my God, I can't believe an idea that I had panned out like this. Like, this is so exciting. Yada, yada. Last week, they announced that this week is going to be the dance. So, oh my God, I'm all excited. I'm like, this is my idea. Not to take too much credit, but I am taking credit because it was fully my idea. And Tyler calls and he's like, I want to, you know, hype this up. You know, I'm like, oh, can we post about it? He's like, I don't know if it's out yet, but turns out they had posted already the songs. So I posted on my story, the whole thing. And he calls us. He's like, you guys should come to the show, like fly out, come, come be in the audience, whatever. Be my guest. And we were like, oh, that would be awesome. You know, we kind of have a hectic week, you know, a lot to make this happen, but that would be great. And he's talking about how he wants to do, you know, a moment where people crowd around him and do the dance like Belmont did when he was at Kid LAROI's concert. And, you know, he's talking about having other people in it. And I'm like, well, what about, can we? can we be in that part? Like, that would be fun. I think it would be cool if we were in that part. And he's like, oh my God, yeah, if you come, like, you guys will do that. That would be so good. Da-da-da-da-da, let me get confirmation. So we waited for some confirmation, and it wasn't until the end of the weekend, like Sunday night or whatever, that we found out we were doing it. But immediately, we booked our flights. We were like, we got to get there. We want to be a part of this. To our surprise, we were front row. Front and center. We were not expecting that. And we got to be a part of Tyler and Sharna's dance for the Garrett Graham moment, which he crushed. And listen, the feedback that he got was that it wasn't much salsa. Now... Speaker 3 (5:36) Viral hits, I think you're trying to create a viral moment, in my opinion. You're trying to get votes. They know what they're doing. Sharna and Tyler knew what they were doing here with this dance. And I think that... They did it, you know? They got the viral moment. People are talking about it nonstop on TikTok, on Instagram, social media. It was so awesome to be a part of. I mean, we were freaking out, so nervous. It was just incredible. They're just insane together. Sharna is so unbelievably cool. You know when someone, like, she's like, oh, baby, can you pass me that? Like, just in casual talk, and she's Australian, so it just comes across so cool. Like, if I was just calling everybody baby. it might not come across. It would just be like very, it would come across more Long Island. Like, oh baby, you know that? I don't even know what the fuck that was. You know what I mean? And so we were so nervous. They were like, you're going to have flashlights. When he takes his shirt off, you got to hit the flashlight, dance. So we're expecting like, you're not really going to be able to see us. And then boom, camera cuts to us when they're giving Tyler his scores. Big closeup moment. The Speaker 2 (6:42) camera like. Because at first I was like, oh, yeah, you can see you if you're looking in the background. But when it just, it basically just was like a planned choreographed movement into you. Speaker 3 (6:53) Well, Tyler did tell us, he was like, you stand here, the camera's going to come up to you guys. And I was like, ah! Like, you don't know. You know, they never know. Because later on in the night, and why I say you don't know is because when Maura went, who we love and adore, and Mark, oh my God, Mark is just so cool. They are such a fantastic. I am rooting so hard for them. They're amazing. But I was sitting next to Monet X Change and Tara Lipinski, and they were there for Maura. And the camera had me and Fran listed as Maura's friends. That was Speaker 2 (7:32) unreal. And Speaker 3 (7:33) I felt so bad that Maura's going to watch back and be like, Speaker 3 (7:39) Who are Speaker 2 (7:40) they? We had dinner in Fiji. We did. We did. And Speaker 3 (7:42) she commented last week that she loves us. But she's going to be like, what the fuck? Those are not my friends. But we were listed as Maura's friends, which goes back to Danny and Madola's season when they had those little kids as Danny's friends. I think it was a fuck up because I think that's what happened when everyone was texting us after like, oh my God, you guys are there for Tyler and Maura? I'm like, I mean, we are in spirit, but we weren't. And Speaker 2 (8:05) Mark, Speaker 3 (8:06) of course. We weren't invited by them. We were invited by Tyler, but of course we're supporting them. So it was so funny that we were. And that's why I think, you know, You plan to have that camera moment, but you really don't know where the camera's going to end up because I don't think Maura would have expected us. Speaker 2 (8:23) Is there anywhere you can see the actual feed of what's being put Speaker 3 (8:26) out? So it was just like during commercial break, I would pick up my phone and see everyone be like, ah, like you guys in the chat. Like, oh my God, we saw you guys, which was so cool. So much fun. Such an honor to be invited. And I have to say it's so funny. And I don't think they'll mind me talking about this, but obviously last week. talked about Julianne's hosting and Alfonso and, you know, I see Alfonso make eye contact with us. And I'm like, you've never met, right? No, I actually don't believe we have. I see him make eye contact with us. I'm like, there's no way Alfonso is looking at us. Alfonso during commercial break walks right up to us and he's like, Hey, you chicks be nice to us. And he's laughing. He shakes our hand and he was so cool and so funny about it. He was like, Listen, we get it. Good, bad. Anything you're talking about is good for us. It's good for the show. And it was like funny banter. He was not mad. He was like so cool. And I said to him, I'm like, we're like the judges outside the show. You know, you got the judges in the show. We're the judges outside the show. He was like, you're right. You're right. You know, we need people to commentate on the show. So it was so funny. So cool. Totally respect that. Obviously, you feel bad when you are critiquing a show and then you... meet the people in real life. But I also don't want to sit here and not give my honest opinion either. So it is cool that they're like accepting of all of that. We saw Mark. We saw Val. We saw Jenna. They were all so awesome. They weren't the only Speaker 2 (9:56) one, right? Well, Speaker 3 (9:57) Whitney brings Guillermo over and she goes, be nice to him. And Guillermo goes, please be nice to me. I'm trying. Genuinely, my heart melted. to the floor, and I said, yeah, I'll be voting for him the rest of the season. They Speaker 2 (10:14) got us. Not even like, I don't think you can compare him to Andy anymore. Like, he's actually just, you'll get into the dances, but like, Speaker 3 (10:21) he's not bad. No, I think he's genuinely improving. I mean, let's just get into the dances from the top. We're going to do a full breakdown of each couple like we did last week. We'll start off with Jenna Dewan and Val. They did a jive to Animal by Cat's Eye, score 21. Obviously, these two are just so good. And it's hot. It's sexy. It's meow. It's all of those things. And I think when you know that Jenna is such a good dancer, you just kind of expect it. So when someone you know is coming up that you don't know how much they've improved from the last week, it's a little bit more exciting. They were fantastic. I think they're so entertaining to watch. And I will never get sick. of watching them dance. But I have to say, like, you, it's almost like you're watching a troop number. You're like, oh, yeah, Speaker 2 (11:12) we're watching a great performance right now to open the show. Speaker 3 (11:16) Moving on, Ciara and Brandon, they did a tango to know Broke Boys. They got a score of 18. I love this pairing and I'm rooting for them so much. I feel like they're giving such sibling energy online in such a fun way. I think that there is improvement here, but I think that Ciara is... doing the steps but not like uh executing the dance if that makes sense right like she is hitting the steps but i think it just has to just flow a little bit better and i think each week it's going to move into that and it's improving like i already think she improved from last week And I think she has so much potential and she is hitting her marks. I think it's just all the things that need to come together. But it's still week two. This is just such a strong cast that I feel like the judgment is already harsh right off the bat because they are all so great and have so much potential already. Speaker 2 (12:12) Should we Speaker 3 (12:12) have Speaker 2 (12:12) you just give what you would give? A score? As if you were a judge. I Speaker 3 (12:16) don't think I would be a good judgment of score number. Speaker 3 (12:21) Towards what's hard is I think as the show goes on, like as an episode is airing, you start to figure out the scoring more between like, OK, well. You're going to give let's scroll down a little bit and compare a score here. Like, I think. But Ezra and Daniela were unbelievable. Same thing with Amber and Pasha. If you scroll down a little bit, I think they also got a 21. I feel like they capped it at 21 tonight. Like, I think maybe the judges got together and said, hey, we're not giving out eights tonight. Because I do think Ezra and Amber deserved at least an eight in there. And you scroll back up to the top, starting off with Jenna and Val, they also got a 21. I think... that would have been lower after seeing those two dances. But I feel like they had a cap. Moving on to Tyler and Sharna. Talked about it already. Obviously, this was less salsa, more get the viral hit, get the votes, take the shirt off, do the thing. The crazy lifts. There's a lot of conversation about lifts in this show. There are certain dances, and I think this clarifies some of it, and Carrie Ann also wrote this on her Instagram. There are certain dance styles that you can do lifts, and then there are certain no-no's, like you absolutely cannot do a lift. Salsa, you can do lifts. So I think people saw Tyler and Sharna do lifts and said, well, Carrie Ann's going to hate this. They're doing so many lifts. She wrote on her... You're allowed to do lifts and salsa. It's some of the other ones you're not. So the lifts were allowed. They were incredible. Obviously shows his strength. He's an athlete. He's a very muscular guy. He could do these things. And it's very cool. I think people just wanted a bit more salsa. And if you were going by like hardcore ballroom. you know, critique, that's what you're looking for. If you're watching and you want to see a hot guy take his shirt off and scream at your TV and watch something viral, then you loved this. If you don't know what off-campus is, you might have been like, what the hell is this? I'm cringing. But for the people that love it, we went nuts. So I thought that they were fantastic. I thought it was so fun. And I thought that it captured what the night was about, viral hits. Speaking Speaker 2 (14:47) of off-campus, did you see those videos that came out of them rapping? Speaker 3 (14:51) Yes. And also videos of Belmont and Ella wrapping Speaker 2 (14:55) up the show together. I saw some article that was like they were crying. Speaker 3 (15:00) Yeah, they were hugging. It's so sweet. I think they were just focused on filming the show. Speaker 2 (15:04) Yeah. People Speaker 3 (15:05) want a drama. We're not. Speaker 2 (15:06) buying into Speaker 3 (15:07) it. Moving on, Julia Siles and Ezra. Tango to the Door by Teddy Swims. I thought this was really good and another one where I feel like I'm going to keep repeating myself with has potential. I think Julia has potential. I think that she messed up a bit, but the start I thought was really fantastic. But this is another one where I think Speaker 3 (15:34) With a scoring, you know, Tyler and Julia, do they deserve the same score? It's different. You know, it's totally different dance. They are doing different. She Speaker 2 (15:43) looked Speaker 3 (15:43) pissed Speaker 2 (15:43) afterwards when they were interviewing Speaker 3 (15:44) her. I think that she's really good. And Ezra is an amazing choreographer as well. As well as moving on to Emma and Jackson. I thought the choreography here was really great. Foxtrot to That's So True. They got a score of 18. These are just like two happy-go-lucky people. Like when you Jackson and Emma, I feel like are just like two golden retriever puppies dancing around a ballroom. They're happy to be there. He's like pumped that Taylor Swift is releasing new music. He's flying to go do this banana bananas. He's making videos about his teeth, which we did talk about his big chompers last week. And I don't say big chompers as an insult. I just say that they are. He confirmed that they're. They're fake veneers. He got a softball straight to his mouth and had to get new teeth. It happens. My husband has fake teeth. I'm not against fake teeth. They're just, he's got a big smile. Big chompers. I loved the mint coloring costumes on these two. And Emma. I say it every week. I'm so obsessed with her as a person. I really am. And so I just root hard for her. But they really are just like two happy-go-lucky people. They're making their videos. They're having fun. I guess, I don't know. I think I was just expecting him to be like a phenomenal dancer because of Savannah Bananas. Forgetting that he's a baseball player, not a dancer. Speaker 2 (17:05) Yeah, I think people do forget that. Like he was a baseball player his whole life. And then like in the last few years, they just started this thing. Speaker 3 (17:11) Right. Because. I'm watching and I'm like, oh, you know, I expect him to be like Harry Seum Jr., but I'm forgetting he's a baseball player. But I think he's going to get there. I feel like it might be Robert Irwin-esque where you really see him shine towards the end of the season. Robert Irwin, I feel like out Speaker 2 (17:33) of the gate last year, he had that dance and people were like, that was incredible. Speaker 3 (17:37) He was, but I feel like even more towards the end of the season, he really, you saw. The improvement, which I think is an important part of this show, is when you see, you go back and you watch a week three dance compared to a week seven dance. And you're like, holy shit, the difference in those dances. And that's where you like win people over. Life is all about choices, like deciding what new social trends to try out, which celebrity gossip to believe or not, or if that hot new show is worth a stream or skipping it. Bella Chow indeed because she got sent home. This was... Speaker 3 (19:04) Uncomfortable. I have to be honest. Being in the ballroom for this one and immediately Carrie-Anne gives shaky as her one word. Me and Monet looked at each other and we said, shaky? Every dance we've gotten so far, you got one word she gives, shaky? Which she was giving. I have no problem with Carrie-Anne being a straight up judge and completely honest. We're not watching this show to get fluff the entire time. We want... general feedback. By the way, what was Speaker 2 (19:35) your opinion on like the whole one word thing? Like they can't figure out a way to have the judges all be able to speak. Speaker 3 (19:40) I don't like it because if, if Len was still around, you're going to tell Len Goodman to give one word. You know what I mean? Like they're not. I don't like the one word thing. There was a lot Speaker 2 (19:50) of online. I saw a lot of like, we couldn't cut Julianne down. We had to cut out the judges. Speaker 3 (19:55) Yeah, I think it's unfair. It doesn't make much sense because. And Speaker 2 (20:00) then you're not getting the feedback. Speaker 3 (20:01) Exactly. Because how are they? And then you see like what Bruno did to Fibula, Connor Wood. He's like, come here. And he tried to, you know, was telling him, I don't know what he was saying, but some more, you know, critique. How are they supposed to get any feedback if you're cutting them off for one word? It doesn't make much sense. They have to figure that out. He'll Speaker 2 (20:20) build off of shaky. And Speaker 3 (20:21) I really think we could have more. I love the troop, but I think we could have more troop dances towards the end of the season when we have more time. When they're at the beginning, they need that judgment feedback. I'm sure they get it off camera, but still, I'm not a fan of the one word thing. But here she gives shaky. Speaker 3 (20:43) and Giada obviously was shaken up by that, and then Julianne hits her with a... So Carrie-Anne gave shaky as her one word. How does that make you feel? It's like, obviously not good, Julianne.
