Speaker 2 (0:00) Every so often, Disney drops a bunch of news and it all just kind of aligns into one particular category, and this is what happened this week. Hello and welcome to Addicted to the Mouse. Today is Wednesday, September 9th. You're listening to episode number 831, and these are all the new food options coming to Disney. Speaker 1 (0:30) Hey everybody, Dan and Leslie here. Thanks for joining us today. Yeah. So we have several food news things and then we've got a couple of non-food news things. So that'll be in the news portion. And then we have a review. Speaker 2 (0:42) We just said all of that backwards. So we'll get through this eventually. Yeah. Speaker 1 (0:47) Well, let's just kick it off with the review then. Okay. All right. So this says Dan and Leslie keep the magic going. It's from Anna C H or excuse me. That says CB two one one. Sorry. Old eyes over here trying to read, um, says I've been listening to addicted to the mouse since 2021 when I was planning my family's very first Disney vacation, fast forward a few years, and we're now planning trip number four. I've listened to several Disney podcasts over the years, but Dan and Leslie are the absolutely the best. Their knowledge is incredible. What really sets them apart is the rapport they have with each other. Every episode feels like you're getting advice from friends who genuinely love helping others create magical vacations. I love the tip. planning advice and updates they share and listening to the podcast always gets me excited for those our upcoming trips it also helps cure those inevitable post Disney blues when we get home if you're planning a Disney vacation or just missing Disney trips and Disney between trips this podcast is a must listen oh Speaker 2 (1:39) that was That was rough. That was hard for me to Speaker 1 (1:43) get through. I don't know why. I Speaker 2 (1:45) feel you. We just drove back from Blue Ridge, Georgia for the Labor Day weekend and my eyes are going blurry coming back from all those hours. So anyway, thank you so much for the review. That was so kind of you to say. We really genuinely do love what we do, our clients, each other, all of the things. So thank you so much for listening and the recommendation. Speaker 1 (2:03) Yes, absolutely. All right. So let's get into the news portion because I'm going to hit the, I mean, all of it's kind of news. but I'm going to hit the non-food news for our news portion. So they have announced Epcot's 2026 Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators lineup. Speaker 2 (2:20) I got to recalibrate because we just got like full on into legitimate Halloween season here a couple of weeks ago when HHN kicked off. A couple weeks before that, Mickey's Not So Scary kicked off. So anyway, I'm Halloween-ing it up over here. We're in the Speaker 1 (2:36) midst of spooky season. Speaker 2 (2:36) We're spooky season, people. So now we're switching gears and talking Christmas. So let me wrap my brain around that. So Candlelight Processional is the Epcot amazing show. If you like the story of Jesus, read to you from the Bible. I will caveat that. This is very much a biblical performance. They do read the passages from the Bible, so just understand that going in. But the music is phenomenal, and the guest celebrity speakers are generally very, very good. All right. That's what we're talking about. Who do we got? Who are the big headliners here? Speaker 1 (3:10) It is definitely such a powerful event. I absolutely adore it. They have 51 piece orchestra and of course the voices of liberty. I Speaker 2 (3:18) just saw one of the narrators and that's who I want to go to. Okay. Who do you want to go to? Speaker 1 (3:23) No, Speaker 2 (3:23) no. I just go ahead. Can you guess? Speaker 1 (3:25) I mean, Neil Patrick Harris? No, we've seen him. Well, that's why I wasn't sure. Okay. So the girl that I cannot say her name. Speaker 1 (3:38) Aaliyah Cravalho. So she's the one that plays Moana. Speaker 1 (3:42) She is coming. I'm pretty sure Speaker 2 (3:44) you butchered that. I think I Speaker 1 (3:45) did. Gary Sinise. We've seen him in person and he is phenomenal. Speaker 2 (3:50) He does so much with veterans and he's a veteran himself. And so he actually brings that up and mentions it. At least he did during our performance. And he's just very, very good. Speaker 1 (3:59) Yep. And then Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Roberts, Jason Kelsey. That's the one. That's the one right there. I Speaker 2 (4:06) love Jason Kelsey. His brother, you know, whatever. They have a good rapport, but I'm kind of over the whole like him and Taylor Swift drama and all of that and coming out of retirement, going into retirement, all that stuff. But Jason Kelsey is hilarious. I would love to see him. He Speaker 1 (4:20) is actually pretty funny. So anyway, he's one of the new ones. Neil Patrick Harris, Lauren Daigle, Ralph Macchio, Henry Winkler, Lacey Chabert. Henry Winkler's coming? Yeah, he's been there in the past. But Lacey Chabert, I don't know how to say her name, but she's the cute little girl that's in all the Hallmark Christmas movies. Like every Christmas movie that you watch during the Christmas season, she's the little cute brunette. Tiny little thing. I'll have to show you a picture. You'll know exactly what I'm talking about. There's only Speaker 2 (4:49) like 8 million Hallmark Christmas movies. I know, but you'll Speaker 1 (4:52) recognize her as soon as you see her. Jodi Benson. Simu Liu and Eva Longoria. So Jodi Benson. Okay. So Speaker 2 (4:58) has Jodi been there before? So that's the original Little Mermaid, like from the animated film. Okay. Speaker 1 (5:03) So, and then there's a couple of to be announced dates in there as well, but there are performances every night, 445, 630 and 8 PM. And the absolute best non-stressful way to experience this is by purchasing a candlelight processional dining package, which goes very fast. fast. When do we, when are we able to start? Yeah. So we can start booking those on October 14th. So, um, it's very interesting. So it's, you know, you can start, you can book dining reservations 60 days in advance, but with this being October 14th, that means you're going to be able to book through like mid December initially. Right. And then, then it will be 60 days before for everybody else. But, um, I actually Speaker 2 (5:49) like that better because it opens up a ton. of options right at the same time, basically. And so you're not really, um, oh, you just pulled up her picture. I Speaker 1 (6:00) did. Now you recognize her? Speaker 2 (6:01) No. Speaker 1 (6:01) Oh, you still don't? I mean, Speaker 2 (6:03) she's, she is a brunette. Um, I don't know. I'm sure we've seen her in something. She's Speaker 1 (6:08) been in lots of things. Speaker 2 (6:10) So anyway, I like how they do this because if you want a specific narrator, not only is the day opening at the same time, but all of the restaurants are opening pretty much at the same time. Sometimes they're slackers, but usually they're all opening at the same time. So you may not get the restaurant that you want, but you will definitely should be able to get the narrator you want because there's also multiple performances per night, right? So you don't have to get one part. If you're open to go anytime in the night, this is very, very handy. And you do pay a little bit more for the dining package than if you were just to eat at the restaurant, but it comes with a guaranteed seat in. Under the roof, like in the pavilion itself, in the amphitheater. Speaker 1 (6:49) Yep. And the dining package includes an entree and dessert or the buffet and then a non-alcoholic beverage or an alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and older. My Speaker 2 (6:58) favorite is beer garden. Speaker 1 (7:00) Yes, it is a good one. So please note that if you are making these reservations on your own without the assistance of a travel agent, you actually have to book the candlelight processional dining package. You can't just book the restaurant and expect. to have that. Speaker 2 (7:16) That is a good point because every year there are some very disappointed people who do not get their guaranteed seat and they have to eat at the restaurant they booked, but they didn't book the dining package reservation. So just make sure when you're searching on October, would you say 14th? October 14th. When you search, just make sure you find the Candlelight Processional. dining reservations for whatever it is beer garden or Rosen crown or whatever you want to go to um and and it is its own thing and if you don't book that if you only book the restaurant they will not give you a ticket to get in so just know Speaker 1 (7:49) very very true all right next up is that we are um very very close to the animation experience animation inspired experience coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios opening so this is Speaker 2 (8:02) weird to me like they made a big deal about opening the animation courtyard And months later, we're finally getting the actual animation experience. Yeah. Speaker 1 (8:10) Yeah. So it's, but it's coming. So there's lots of Easter eggs and hidden details all throughout the magic of Disney animation. So you've got 64 animated feature films are represented throughout this fan first setting, meaning that guests favorite character story or hidden reference could be waiting right where. they least expect it. So there's, it's just, it looks like a really cute area from the photos that they've presented here. And of course, you're going to have all the fun activities inside with like the, the little animation thing, the, of course you also have Disney junior Mickey mouse clubhouse live across the way. So that's available, but, um, you're going to have the
